Finest glasses with an intricate faceted cut and geometrical matt grinding. The Dutchess Anna Amalie von Weimer (1739-1807) owned these precious drinking glasses which were manufactured at the factory of Freiherr von Poschinger. This exquisite series was therefore named after her. It has been written: “Around 1800 Georg Benedikt I. manufactured the finest drinking glasses with geometrical grinding, which can still be admired in Weimer at the house of Anna Amalie, the benefactress of Goethe.” |
